Perhaps, Jesus meant we should maintain a culture of people who reject sin and try not to sin. Perhaps our culture is being thrown into the hell of fire be use of our persistent endorsement of sin.

I don’t think losing a member of your body will stop you from sinning, as you still have your mind and heart at work.
